We love going to the state park on Pilot Mountain...the views are amazing, and it's close enough to home that you can go and come back without it taking forever just to get there.

These are a pair of Black Vultures that were soaking up the sun while we were there....they just watched us humans like we were watching them...I guess they knew they were safe out there on their outcropping...
This tree just seemed to be growing straight out of the rocks...it's amazing how sometimes things can thrive in the most unlikely settings.
