This was steam rising off the mountain one cool moist morning...
My beloved Yadkin river...it's a bit muddy in this pic (always is after a storm), but it's not always like that. I grew up swimming in this river...we lived walking distance to it and it was a wonderful place to spend time in the summer. I swam in it, my dad and I went fishing in it, and my mom took pictures (that's where I learned my love of photography). I still live really close to it...and it's where I tend to go when I really need to think...the water rushing by is really calming.
This is one of the trees in my front yard taken at the peak of the color change one fall.

When I was a little girl some of mine & my mom's favorite things to take pictures of were fungus and lichens growing on trees, or mushrooms on the ground. I found this on a camping trip and had to get a picture of it...it reminds me of old times...

You have a great eye for composition. I love all these,too.There's just something eeriely beatiful about the photo of the mist over the mountains. It reminds me of the Panther story my daddy used to tell us.
