Autumn in the Mountains

These are a couple of shots I took on a trip to the mountains one autumn that I thought turned out well...

Autumn in Blowing Rock...this photo was taken from the front porch of an old house that has been converted into an art center that promotes the sale of products made by local artists from the mountains that surround our part of the Appalachian Trail.

Autum at Hanging Rock, NC...shadow & light, colored leaves and evergreens, rock and wood...there's a range of contrasts in this picture.
