When I was a little girl my mom taught me how to use a camera...about contrasts, setting up shots, angles, lighting, focusing, and bunches of other important stuff. I have always wanted to be an artist, to have a way to express myself, but soon found out that I don't have an artistic bone in my body. I can barely draw a stick figure, I can't sing, and forget about painting. However, in teaching me all those things about a camera and taking pictures, my mom taught me about a different form of artistry...photography. She gave me the one way I can express myself, the one way that I can show off the things that are important to me. She gave me a way to tell stories without having to be great with words. So, these days I am almost never without a camera. I take pictures of whatever I find interesting, whatever I love, and whatever just happens to catch my eye. Some of the pictures are definitely more artistic than others...some are just your basic pictures. But each picture has a feeling attached, a story behind it, and is a part of me. I have started this blog-page to share this part of 'me' with you...I hope you enjoy the trip....
